    too much trouble and birds don't like it

    I found this to be confusing at best to get set up properly. It's nice they include so many options for installation, but instructions are too tiny for me to read and not very instructive. I finally got the camera unit into the base, but now I can't get it apart or near the camera area to adjust. Looks simple to just push the area where it snaps in, but I can't push hard enough apparently to get it to slide back off. It is kinda heavy and cumbersome.
    I finally got attached to a tree, be sure to screw it in and not just rely on the belt thing as the placement won't keep the camera very straight up. I think an antenna came off along the way and I can't get it back in.
    So, I've had this thing for a few weeks (past the return period) and the birds still don't go near it, but the squirrels love it if I have sunflower seeds in the holder.
    I have 4 other Dzees cameras and the cameras do work great, but this was a total waste of money for me and quite a disappointment as a bird lover/watcher.

    I recently bought the Dzees bird feeder/camera for my at Christmas. We have since mounted it within WiFi range in our yard and have been very happy with the clarity of the images. You can actually watch the birds rotate seeds with their tongue while cracking them. We’re using 15 second video clips, but there are other duration options if you want longer recordings. We have four other Dzees security cameras around the yard and all provide excellent video recording. We’ve chosen to use the bird cam without extended buying extended capabilities as the company allows free cloud storage of recorded images. We have not yet exceeded the free storage restrictions, but if you want to keep recordings locally there is a micro SD slot to add your own on board video storage up to 128gb (I think)

    Our only complaint is the audio recording capability is not good. Hard to make out bird calls. Still, the video performance more than makes up for the poor audio.
